We invite you to join the University of Virginia's Creative Writing Program for a poetry reading by Carolina Ebeid, an acclaimed multimedia poet whose work explores memory, language, migration, and the interior landscapes of identity. Ebeid is the author of You Ask Me to Talk About the Interior and the chapbook Dauerwunder: a brief record of facts, and her forthcoming collection, Hide, will be published by Graywolf Press in 2026.
Born to Cuban and Palestinian parents and raised in New Jersey, Ebeid brings a richly interdisciplinary approach to poetry, creating work that moves across page, performance, video, and sound. Her writing has been supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Lannan Foundation, CantoMundo, Bread Loaf, and the Stadler Center for Poetry, and she currently serves as an editor for the multimedia journal Visible Binary.
This event is free and open to the public. A book signing will follow the reading.
